Review: St. Charles Shaving Cream

I love this cream. The smell is wonderful, and it's made a huge difference with my skin. Much less dry skin on my head, which is hard to do during winter, with dry air and furnaces. It may be my inexperience with using this type of cream, but I didn't really notice a lather, as much as a foam. I seemed to need more effort to get as close a shave with this cream, but the wonderful feeling on the skin was worth it.

I have used other shaving creams before and I found the St Charles brand no better or worse than these. I found I had to load the brush with more cream to get a good lather than other brands so the tub wouldn't have lasted as long. I had to load the brush again for a second shaving pass. It did produce a good lather and smooth confortable shave. It did give very good moisturizing capabilties to my skin after shaving. I like the smell. As I don't know the price I have left a medium rating for value. I would recommend this product and I would consider using it again.

This shaving cream works the way a shaving cream should but I didn't find anything magical about it. I didn't like the smell of this cream(Shea Butter & Avocado Oil) and it costs twice as much as my favorite shaving cream so I'll go back to using my usual brand.

I love this stuff so much it will be a permanent staple in my rotation. The shea butter and avacado oil smells so good sometimes it makes me hungry. I use about a tablespoon and lather it up with my brush, it foams up really well it's kind of wet not just foamy and I like my foam wet.
dragonslayer likes it so much she's started using it too so now it's really starting to disappear so I moved where I keep it to throw her off for awhile. lol
I will definitely be ordering a refill when this one empties.
Another thing I truly like about St Charles is their website. Everybody likes something different but to me I just like the way the site is laid out and very user friendly.

Ah the St. Charles Shaving Cream. This is another top of the line product. I liked everything about it. The smell was a manly smell but not to strong and not a flowery fragrance. It lathered up just great and stayed moist through the shave.

Very nice cream. Smells, feels and looks good enough to eat! Nice packaging. Makes you feel like you're spoiling yourself when you use it. Recommended.

Shea butter and avocado. Sounds good enough to eat! I really did try a tiny dab to see what it tasted like when I used it the first time. Tastes like chicken! Ok, I kid, but it smells very nice, and lathers fairly well with a shaving brush.
On my first try of the product I suffered a lot of razor bumps, but I was fine the next time. I may have just had a bad razor.
This was the first time I've used a shaving cream that didn't come out of a can or bottle. No big deal, just scoop some out of the jar with your fingers, and put it in a shaving bowl to whip up with your brush.
I did not notice any moisturizing or skin tone improvement over other creams.
It works, and smells great. I would recommend it.
