|
|
Just like there are Bald Forums and HeadShaving Forums, there are also obviously forums for people who've gone through or are considering hair restoration.
I spent a few minutes reading them and was simply amazed.
These quotes are actual posts from normal, everyday guys just like us:
Approx. 5 weeks ago I started Propecia. In the first 2 weeks or so I started having some libido problems...
---
...what are the best things to start off with like shampoos? drugs?......take a look at my pics is it possible i can grow it back or am i headed for a transplant in the future.....PLEASE HELP!!!
---
I'm considering this for the first time. I'd like to just do 400 grafts to see how it takes. My doctor is willing to do this at $5 per graft. Is this a reasonable approach to see if this works for me?
---
And those are just a few examples.
EMBRACE your dome, guys. Be proud, and consider yourself lucky not to worry about baldness, and getting sucked into a never-ending ruse of hiding what you're not. _________________ waliguy

One of my clients only buys my soap because he says that his hair is beginning to grow again. Do I have a gold mine on my hands? _________________ Irena

| I'm sorry but it really amazes me that they care about it that much. Hair is so overrated especially for men. |

Philosophical Rant/on
We live in a society, that claims individuality as a cornerstone, yet that individuality is only accepted inside of the boundaries of the collective.
Daily we are assaulted with all sorts of "advertising" on what is best for us. Whether it is hair, flat abs, skin tone, and whatever else someone somewhere thinks will make them a buck. There are other influences, friends, co-workers, and society as a whole. Since Grade School, we learn if one wants to be "accepted" one has to go with the flow. Acceptance and individuality are no compatible.
So, there are those who pursue these "wonder cures" because they just have to fit in. It goes beyond just buying the latest and greatest toy because, "they have one", it is pervasive in our nature to be just "right" so we can be accepted.

True, the media tells us what's best for us but makes us feel terrible about ourselves at the same time so we end up buying products that are supposed to improve us but those products don't work so we end up feeling worse about ourselves. That's probably why depression is so common in this country. Blame it all on the media I say! |

This is the most brilliant thing I've read so far this year, without question. That SO needs to be on a t-shirt. _________________ jason ackerman || jasonackerman.com

No worries guys - that shirt is already a work in progress. Mike and I talked about making that one last year, but it got set aside for a while. When Waliguy typed in the article above, we re-visited it. We're just trying to decide whether to give it some "pinache" with design or leave it plain text - Do you all have a preference? _________________ Carpe Diem "Seize the Day" |

| It's such a bold statement, maybe it should be in bold type with nothing else to distract. |
