Our royalty are not politicians.
The Prime Minister and his Government make the political decisions. The Queen as Head of State just gets informed of them, she doesn't have to authorise them.
The rest of the royal family along with the Queen are figure heads for Britain and The countries of our Commonwealth ( Australia etc)
They do a lot of charity work and create a good turism industry for us.
Some people think they are a waste of public money, but I think that the money generated via turism and tradition out weighs the public cost. |
