All was going well tonight. Scrubbed up with Headshed, slapped on a bunch of lather from Williams Shave Soap, new blades all around. I was doing the final pass on my head with the Merkur and...doink! Not a big chunk like last week, but enough of a cut to send me after the styptic pencil! Don't know exactly what I did differently, but I did it! Eh, a few spritzes of witch hazel, and all was fine.
Music tonight: Canadian rockfest. Saga and Honeymoon Suite _________________

It sounds like you need your shaving licence suspended and sent back to shave school.
Glad it wasn't a major incident like last time. _________________ Growing old is compulsory. Growing up is entirely optional. |

HA! You guys are so funny!
Last night:
Wash: Headshed
Shave: carrot facial soap (more on that later)
Razors: HB and Merkur
After: Just warm water
Took the wife to the famous (at least here) Indiana Covered Bridge Festival. It's like a flea market in several different little towns, all with a bucolic background of changing leaves and covered bridges. I saw several different soap makers (sorry soapbuddy, I was unfaithful!). Didn't see any shave soap. At the last vendor we saw, I asked this older gentleman, just in case I was missing it. He said they didn't, but he said that his daughter (who really ran the booth) was working on one. And, he said he was surprised a guy my age used soap. He recommended this carrot facial soap, said it make an incredible lather. He used to use shave soap, and said the carrot bar sure felt similar. I figured what the heck, it's 4 bucks, I'll try it.
Now, it does later incredibly, but it dries kind of quick. The good news, is just a whip of a wet brush on my head/face, and it lathers right back up. Even better...my skin feels amazing. It's all natural ingredients, so I'm sure that's got a lot to do with it. I'm at work, so tonight, I'll post the name of the vendor and the ingredients. I might contact the lady online and see if she is going to continue working on a shave soap, and tell her I know some guys who might be interested. Even though this isn't truly made for shaving, wow...I like it a lot! _________________
