I'll take a look, thanks! |
You're welcome.
The Chicago Burn Care Unit was the one that recommended Emu oil. _________________ Irena

Well, I'm SO addicted to shaving my head that I typically shave around the area as close as I can, then a little closer... and if the wound permits, I take my electric razor over it.
Anyone else do this or am I just that ill? |
When I cut my head I did not shave for a day or two until the wound had scabbed over. Once that had occurred I would shave over it with an electric razor as that will not reopen the wound. I did not use the blade over it until it had cleared up properly. |

| I am pretty persistant so when I gotta shave, I shave. I figure those nicks and cuts will heal better being clean and access to the open air. I am just a little careful and just lightly glide the blade over the area. Sometime I reopen it and sometimes not, but it is all good. |

A very practical suggestion.
Zook headshaving can be addictive, but I confer with SJ on this one.
The faster the wound heals, the faster you can return to a complete headshave. |

| Thanks for the great tips. I have nicked my head a few times. Any tips on what to use to get it to heal faster? I need to stick to using a good razor. |

I recently started using alum after each shave, it feels great and has antiseptic properties to it.
What I use is actually a natural deodorant called 'Crystal', it's nothing more than a formed alum block in a convenient stick.

If I should happen to gouge myself, I'll wait a couple of days before shaving... I'll have Sandpaper Head, but it's better than aggravating the injury. _________________ - Rich G.

| I gouged myself pretty bad a couple of times. The last time it happened I couldn't shave for a week. I was using ivory soap to shave with and wasn't lubricating enough and the razor pulled my skin into the blade but since I switched to headslick I haven't had any problems. |

Oh yes I have. I finished up and then shaved again the next night. _________________ Headblader for life!
