I was on the internet one day and noticed that in the MSN Lifestyle section, there was a blog full of messages from people regarding men and receding hairlines. The question asked was: Should men even bother doing anything about a receding hairline? If so, what works? Here are a few of the answers that came in on that blog:

I found this short paragraph in an article online. Enjoy!
Asian guys (or any guys, really) with a bald head make a bold statement. Whether you need to do it or not, taking it all off the top shows you’re a man of true grit and determination; you exude confidence and class.

Thinning Hair at 17
22 May, 2007 14:31
Tyris Ubl, Mission Assistant
When I first realized that I was losing my hair, I was 17 years old. It was really hard at first because my buddies would always joke around about how I was already going bald at 17. When it actually sunk in that I was really going bald, it made me angry because I didn’t understand how this could be happening at such a young age. I thought “Why me?”

What Causes Male Pattern Baldness?
15 May, 2007 14:41
Julie Olson, Mission Coordinator
Some of our readers have asked us about the cause of male-pattern baldness. I’ve taken some information from a short article I found online. I wanted to communicate the answer in such a way that it is easy to understand and quickly sums up what I’ve read about the causes of male-pattern baldness. Keep in mind that we don’t view male-pattern baldness as a “disease” that must be cured, but rather, we want you to know that it is genetic; very, very common; and that accepting and celebrating it is usually the best option. With all that said, here’s your answer:

Our newest t-shirt designs are in progress and we’re very excited about them! The first in our new t-shirt design series we call "Bald to the Bone". It has an edgy, tough feel to it and is a very masculine, strong design. For those who like motorcycles, this one is especially for you. These new designs will all convey bald pride & strength. The Brotherhood logo looks fantastic on t-shirts as well as various other items, but our goal is to create a variety of t-shirt designs to suit a variety of people. These designs will reflect the fact that bald people can be very attractive.

It's All About the Styling

So, I was getting my hair cut and colored a few weeks ago. I’ve got a new stylist and she does a great job. We started talking about the Brotherhood. I was talking about the guys who just don’t seem to understand that a balding head is not necessarily unattractive; but rather, it is all about the styling. She wholeheartedly agreed with me. If you’ve read some of my articles, you know that I don’t believe that shaving it all off works for every balding male, but I do believe that balding men have great options available to them and I’d like to see more of them take advantage of those options! (For styling tips, check out the article Styling Tips for Bald Men).

In the course of my research, lo and behold I found that there is such a thing as an entire song devoted to bald-headed men. Yep - a whole song written by a woman about sexy bald men. Here are the lyrics:

Though I’m hardly a baldness "expert", working with the Brotherhood, I am learning things about baldness and bald men in particular that have surprised me. For starters, I never knew that so many men were insecure about losing their hair. I’m not criticizing here; I do realize that we live in a world where our deepest insecurities are fed quite often, but still… I suppose I thought that generally speaking, most men had a couple of days here and there where they thought, “Not sure if I like it, but oh well, no big deal”, and then they moved on and didn’t think about it much… Wow, was I wrong!
