With all the information we have available to us these days about the dangers of sun exposure, there really is no excuse for not protecting ourselves. Though personally, I’m not vigilant about sunscreen use on an everyday basis – mostly because of the time it takes to slather it on and because I don’t like the feel or smell of it - I do make a strong effort to take precautions when I am going to be in the sun for more than a few minutes during the day. And when it comes to my husband and his bald head, I am quite vigilant especially after we had a little skin cancer scare a while back. Here’s what happened:

I'm currently doing some hands-on research in this area, but I'll begin with what I've discovered so far. FYI: Be sure to read the article "Styling Tips for Thinning Hair" in the "Styling Tips" category as this article outlines some good styling tips I found online.

I was in getting my hair cut recently and asked my stylist for a few styling tips for men with thinning hair and products that work well for them. She is a very attractive young woman, does a fantastic job keeping me "up-to-date" with my hair, and is young enough to know the latest. Once again, she agreed that men should really talk to a hair stylist (a good one!) to get a personal "up-close" opinion on what would work best, but beyond that:

I recently contacted a local hospital to ask whether a donation of our youth-size logo t-shirts would be useful for handing out to the children who are facing hair loss due to medical conditions or treatments. I received an enthusiastic response and Mike and I are excited about this opportunity!
